Memphis, Tenn.-Paris Native Kyle M. Wiggins will head the Young Lawyer Division (YLD) of the Memphis Bar Association.
Wiggins is an associate of the Memphis office of Baker, Donelson, Bearman, Caldwell and Berkowitz.
Wiggins told the Memphis Daily News that he is honored to take the position, which will allow him to work on the YLD's public service projects and continue working with student mock trials.

The women Spartan's basketball team enter the season with a great amount of outside pressure on them to succeed this year.
With their No. 1 Sunshine State Conference ranking as well as a No. 22 national ranking, they have certainly gained the nation's attention.
"We certainly thought we had a pleasant surprise season, we like to say. We graduated five starters from the previous year so many people deemed it as a rebuilding year," Tom Jessee, Head Coach said.

Three Arkansas-Monticello football players were selected to postseason Gulf South Conference football teams announced Thursday, November 12.
Junior linebacker Carlton Johnson earned first-team honors, while junior receiver Jywin Ceaser and junior safety Michael Servantes were named to the second team.
All-GSC players are selected by a vote of league coaches.

Nick Graziano continued with his hot hand and the Arkansas Tech Wonder Boys romped to their third-straight victory, a 44-14 thumping of Henderson State in a Gulf South Conference game in Arkadelphia on Saturday.
Graziano, the Wonder Boys' senior quarterback, set a school record for passing yards for the third time this season.
This time he threw for 459 yards and five touchdowns.

The win snapped a two-game skid against OBU for the Muleriders (2-5, 2-4 GSC), giving them their second win of the season and handing Ouachita Baptist (4-3, 3-3 GSC) its third straight loss.
The game became a defensive struggle with neither team's offense clicking, as the Muleriders managed just 202 yards.
OBU ran the ball for 124 yards, but got only 75 through the air, well below their 236.5 per game.

University of Arkansas at Monticello senior basketball player Monica Perkins-Miller has been selected to the 2009 Preseason All-Gulf South Conference West Division team, while the Cotton Blossoms were predicted to finish third in the division.
Perkins-Miller (Houston, Texas) is one of three players selected to the preseason squad that earned first team All-GSC honors at the conclusion of the 2008-09 season.

Fresh off his school-record 20 tackle performance in No. 20 ranked Delta State University's 31-23 victory over Valdosta State University in the GSC-TV Live Game of the Week, senior All-American linebacker Lardester Hicks-Green has been named the Gulf South Conference Defensive Player of the Week on Monday.
